Ep.35 - Therapy is expensive…but so is divorce

If you follow us, then you know how the Divas feel about the impact your ‘ships’ can have on your finances. And we would venture to say that no relationship has a bigger impact on your finances than marriage. Yet the discussion surrounding money and views on spending prior to entering marriage are still largely avoided. For those already in a marriage, the financial and emotional problems that lead up to divorce can often be solved through effective communication. Enter the therapist. Having a licensed third party help you navigate the hard discussions to help you asses whether you should enter a marriage with your current partner or whether you should stay married is undervalued.

This week we sit with Dr. Faith Troupe of Troupe Psychotherapy and Consulting, licensed marriage and family therapist, to discuss why 𝒑𝒓𝒆-𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒕-𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 counseling are so vital and can potentially save you from a costly divorce.
