100k is goals! The $100,000 salary is often the benchmark for success in both careers and relationships. We’ve all heard someone say it “my partner needs to make six figs." Twenty-five years ago a $100,000 salary could buy you a lavish home, posh car, and other luxury items. But in 2012, how far does $100,000k really get you? Why do so many see it as the golden egg, when only 15% of Americans or less ever reach the goal? While $100,000 is certainly nothing to sneeze at, this week we break down why dollars don’t stretch like they used to and some of the costs attached to making a higher salary.
