Happy New Year! If you scrolled your timeline during the holidays you inevitably saw someone you knew pop the question or announce “they said yes!”. Holidays and engagements go hand and hand. After the engagement, the wedding planning begins. With the average cost of a wedding sitting around $30K for one day, there is no better time to ensure you and your partner are on the same page financially. However, in understanding if you’re on the same page financially, broaching the topic of protecting pre-marital assets continues to have a negative connotation.

This week we tackle the stigma around having a pre-nup and why you just may want to consider sitting down with your partner and have the conversation.
